Der Body Roundness Index (BRI), übersetzt Kârper-Rundlichkeits-Index, nutzt den Taillenumfang und die Kârpergrâße, um den Bauchfettanteil am menschlichen Kârper abzuschÀtzen.cite-ref-1[1] Er ist ein effektiver Parameter zur AbschÀtzung von Adipositas.cite-ref-chen-2-0[2]

Er soll ein besserer Indikator für die Gesundheit als der Body-Mass-Index sein, da er den Anteil des physiologisch besonders schÀdlichen Bauchfettes abschÀtzt und einbezieht.cite-ref-3[3] Er nutzt dazu die gleichen Eingangsgrâßen wie das Waist-to-Height-Ratio, allerdings ist die Berechnung etwas komplizierter.

In verschiedenen Studien hat sich der BRI als effektiver Vorhersageparameter erwiesen.
